Lucky Charms and St.Paddy's Day...what's the connection?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day Everyone!

Along with the fun distribution of Lucky Charms to all of you willing to partake of said sugary cereal, we'd also like your thoughts on this question: "what do Lucky Charms Cereal have to do with Saint Patrick's Day?" Of course this dialogue could go many different directions. Some say that Saint Patrick's Day is a time of problem drinking by college students, so let's moderate if you choose to celebrate. Some might say that really there is no connection and the green clothing was an Irish Government decision to market a holiday. And others might say that it's just a lot of fun, so enjoy the day and celebration Irish Culture. You can use the 'comment' section below to share your thoughts. And please come by North or South Campus during the morning or evening break to get some free Lucky Charms Cereal ! (please note: even on St.Paddy's Day it is inappropriate to pinch other students and violators can be held to the Code of Conduct :) Happy PDay !

I'm not sure lucky charms have much to do with SPD. Like you said, some say that it's a celebration of the Irish Culture...maybe that's exactly what the lucky charms are too, a celebration of the Irish culture (or what Americans perceive it to be.) Mysterious!
