We're forming an International Book Club and would like more students to join in reading our first book "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami. We will start reading the English translation of Murakami's book over the Winter Break and then have into the first half of Winter Quarter to finish reading. A discussion luncheon will be planned for Week Five of Winter Quarter and then we'll choose a new book to be discussed the at the end of Winter Quarter. Read interesting novels by writers from all over the world, discuss and grow from the experience. Two novels per quarter. If you want to just read one, that's fine. If you want to read all eight books next year, well that's great! If you're interesting in joining up on "Kafka on the Shore", then pick the book up ASAP and contact aharbison@aii.edu to let him know you're joining. There will be a blog for the club starting next quarter as well.
